IGNOU BCA - An Under Graduate Course for 10+2 Pass outs
IGNOU bachelor of computer application is a 3 years course divided into 6 semester.
Course Duration & Age Limit for Admission
The minimum duration for IGNOU BCA course is 3 years, although someone can complete it in maximum 6 years duration. There is no minimum or maximum age limit to join this course. Any one from any age group can join this course. The only condition is, someone has to meet the eligibility criteria for admission.
In case the student is unable to pass all the courses of the BCA within the prescribed maximum duration of 6 years, s/he can apply for extension of the duration by another two years by seeking Re-admission on remitting the pro-rata fee of the left-over courses.
IGNOU BCA Eligibility Criteria
Anyone who has completed 10+2 or its equivalent is eligible to take admission in BCA from IGNOU. As we said earlier there is no age limit for admission that means you can take admission at any age.
IGNOU BCA Fee Structure
The total fee for IGNOU bachelor of computer application course is INR 30,000. In first semester candidate has to pay INR 5100 (INR 100 as registration fee) and INR 5000 from second semester onwards. The following is the course structure for BCA
The programme has been divided into two semesters per year (January to June and July to December). Consequently, there will be two examinations every year - one in the month of June for the January to June semester courses and the other in December for the July to December semester courses.
To be eligible to sit in the exam, students must ensure that he has paid the fee and has attended the minimum % of classes.
