Karnataka State Women’s University recently got an approval from University Grants Commission to run Distance Education Courses. Now KSWU is all set to launch 14 different courses under various discipline under distance education. The university has got this approval for the current session & hoping to get approval for more courses from next session.
The following distance education courses has been approved by UGC to commence from this year.
The university is assuring that even they are going to start distance education courses for the very first time but the quality of education will not be scarifies. The university will take all the measures to make distance education courses at par with regular courses offered by Karnataka State Women’s University.
Karnataka State Women’s University also did a great announcement that students enrolling in distance education courses will be allowed to to participate in campus interviews and job fairs organised by the University. This will be a plus point for the university as there are very few university who allow distance education students to participate in job fairs. We personally find this step really wonderful & if KSWU could manage to get place some of their distance learning students in some good companies, the day is not far when it will become a big name in the field of distance education.
Like many other universities offering distance education in southern part of India, we're expecting that the fee structure of these courses will also be very affordable. If university really wants to offer higher education to rural & backward areas the fee structure expected to be very low.
In next two years the university is planning to enroll approx 5000 students, this year they are expecting 2000 students to be enrolled in all 14 different courses.
