SMU 5th Annual Vidyadeep Scholarship For Distance Education Courses

Here is a good news for all students who wish to join Sikkim Manipal University distance education courses. SMU is offering a scholarship of upto 100% to students who wish to join SMU DE distance learning course in 2014. This will be 5th Annual scholarship of SMU DE. Sikkim Manipal has given it a name i.e Vidyadeep Scholarship. Vidyadeep Scholarship is an all India scholarship designed to help the students who want to pursue their education through distance education Programs of SMU-DE.

5th Annual Vidyadeep Scholarship

There are total 10000 scholarships, which will be awarded to students on basis of the percentage or equivalent secured in the qualifying examination. A student may get a minimum of 15% tuition fee waiver to 100% tuition fee waiver with this scholarship program.

Eligibility Criteria For Vidyadeep Scholarship

The eligibility criteria for 5th Annual Vidyadeep Scholarship is given below. A student who will secure marks between 50%-80% will be eligible for 15% scholarship. Students with more than 80% marks & upto 90% marks will get 50% waiver in tuition fee. and students with more than 90% marks will get 100% waiver in tuition fee. As we mentioned earlier there are total 10000 Scholarships this year. 9250 Scholarships are for students who has secured marks between 50%-80%, 500 Scholarships are for students who has secured >=80% -  90% Marks and 250 Scholarships are for students who has secured >=90% marks.

All students from Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Manipur, Mizoram, Nagaland and Tripura are eligible for minimum of 15% scholarship without any qualification criterion. If these students wants to get a scholarship of 50% or 100% they have to be in Top 250 and Top 500 students list of all India students.

Only Students who will apply between 2nd and 31st January 2014, will be eligible for the 5th Annual Vidyadeep Scholarship. The Scholarship is available for all the courses available under Sikkim Manipal University Distance Education.
