The admissions will be done through an entrance test which is going to be held 23rd February 2014. The test will be held across India on various centers appointed by Indra Gandhi National Open University.
How To Apply For Entrance Exam
Students can read the eligibility criteria on IGNOU Prospectus. Eligible candidate may download the application form from IGNOU official website. After filling the application form, students required to attach the requested document & prescribed fee and send it to The Director, Research Unit, Block-6, Room -18,IGNOU, Maidan Garhi, New Delhi – 110 068.
Fee & Duration Of Ph.D, M.Phil Courses
The maximum duration to complete the Ph.D & M.Phil programmes are 5 years & 4 years respectively. For Ph.D courses the applicable fee is Rs.7000 per annum which is to be paid for 2 years.MPhil candidates are to pay one-time fee of Rs. 10,500/- which is inclusive of the Course Fee. The fee we mention is just to give you an idea, the actual fee may vary and we recommend you to confirm the same with University.
What If I Missed To Apply in This Session
Don't worry if you miss to apply for the course in this session. The University advertises for research programmes twice a year, once for the January cycle and second time for the July cycle. You may apply in next cycle. All you need to do is to put a close watch on university website about the advertisement, IGNOU publish an admission advertisement on the website at least 4 months before the admission.
Last Date To Apply for July 2014 Session
The last date for submission of Application Form is 20th January 2014 and the entrance test will be held on 23rd February 2014.
