Course Duration
The minimum duration of the B.Ed course offered by IGNOU is 2 years & maximum is 4 years.
Eligibility Criteria
- A Bachelor’s or higher degree from a recognized university, AND
- Two years full-time regular teaching experience on temporary/permanent basis as Primary/Graduate/Post-Graduate Teachers in Primary, Secondary/Higher/Senior secondary school recognized by the central or a state government or a union territory are eligible to take admission.
The reservation for SC/ST/OBC(Non-Creamy Layer) and other categories shall be per the rules of the Central Government. There shall be a relaxation of five percent marks in favor of SC/ST/Kashmiri Migrant and other categories of candidates, if any, as per Govt. of India Rules.
Fee Structure
Students have to pay a lump sum payment for the entire course Rs.54,000 in the first year only by way of Demand Draft in favor of IGNOU payable at the city where your Regional Center is situated.
Note: The course fee is not to be paid along with the filled-in application form. There will be a separate communication about admission and payment of fees.
Admission Procedure
There is no minimum or maximum age bar to take admission into IGNOU BEd program however admission will be made Regional Centre-wise based on the score obtained in the entrance test conducted by IGNOU all over India. The candidate will be required to submit the filled-in application form with an attested copy of documents as specified in Entrance-cum-Admission Form.
